AMEM Can Help

AMEM provides a diverse resource network of expert emergency planners and responders. Members assist government, business and industry in identifying hazards within their jurisdiction and work place; coordinate development of emergency operations plans; and provide disaster preparedness, response and recovery instruction to emergency responders and civic organizations.

Conferences and Awards

AMEM members are invited to two annual conferences in Minnesota. The state’s Department of Public Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) hosts the “Governor’s Emergency Management Conference” in the Spring; and AMEM hosts its’ annual Fall Emergency Management Conference. These feature outstanding speakers and workshops that address both doctrinal and current issues within the field of emergency management. They also provide the opportunity to recognize outstanding efforts and contributions to emergency management in Minnesota.
