AMEM Annual Conference
Adopts 2010 Platform, Elects Officers, Presents Annual Awards
AMEM held its annual conference,
September 20-23, 2009, at Breezy Point. Over 400 members and associate partners
from around the state participated in this year's event.

The following officers were
elected to lead our association during the coming year: President Scott
Camps, Washington County; First Vice President Terry Stoltzman, Anoka
County; Second Vice President John Bowen, Crow Wing County; and Judge
Advocate Julie Peterson, Watonwan County (2009-2010

Annual AMEM Awards and State
Certification Recipients
-
Vern Woytassek, Wilkin
County, was named State Director of the Year at this year's AMEM Awards
Banquet. Dona Greiner, Stevens County, was named State Non-Director of
the Year. Deb Paige, Washington County, and Judd Freed, Ramsey County,
were presented the President's Award for their contributions to the
Association over the past year by outgoing President Mike Johnson. Matt
Bostrom, St. Paul Police Dept., was the recipient of the Association’s
Preparedness Award for his efforts in planning and preparing for the
2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul. And outgoing President
Mike Johnson, Steele County, was honored for his leadership of the
Association during the past year.

received their state certification from HSEM Director Kris Eide and HSEM
Training Officer Suzanne Donnell.
